Rocket City Tall Club Scholarship

Tall Clubs International (TCI) is offering one or more $1000 scholarship to graduating seniors who meet the criteria described below.  The Rocket City Tall Club (RCTC) is offering one scholarship of at least $500 to a graduating senior whose application will then be submitted to TCI for consideration for the TCI scholarships.  RCTC is a social club for men and women of tall stature and is a member of TCI, which consists of more than 60 clubs across the United States and Canada.  TCI member clubs take pride in fostering tall awareness through involvement in their community.

Each of the tall clubs is eligible to submit one scholarship application to the TCI scholarship committee.  Students who apply may be considering any field of study and must be entering a four year institution of higher learning in the fall of 2011.

Criteria will include:
Minimum height: females 5’10”, males 6’2” (in stocking feet)
Academic record and achievements
Involvement in clubs and activities in the school community
Involvement in clubs and activities outside the school community
Personal achievements (applicants should include information that would add to the quality of the application)
Insight and content of essay – “What Being Tall Means to Me”
Recommendations (within the school community and outside the school community (1 each)) (letters to colleges will be accepted)
Must be from Madison County or Morgan County in Alabama.
