The BBG Communications scholarship is designed for students between the ages of 16 and 21 who are currently in or will be attending an institution of higher education in the Fall of 2011.

The Alabama Golf Association Women’s Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 by the Women’s Alabama Golf Association, which has now become a part of the AGA. Since its inception we have awarded over 14 scholarships to young ladies across the state of Alabama. This scholarship is intended to further the education of a young lady who is interested in the game of golf, excels in the class room, participates in school and community activities, and is in need of financial assistance. This scholarship is awarded for 4 years in the amount of $3,000 per year as long as the applicant can maintain the requirements outlined  for this scholarship. 

Eligibility Requirements

Candidate must:

1. Be a graduate of an accredited secondary school where she has shown evidence of academic excellence, good citizenship, sportsmanship and community involvement; 
2. Be in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate education in a college or university in the state of Alabama; 
3. Have an interest in the game of golf 
4. Be a bona fide resident of the state of Alabama

Instructions:

1. Fill out online application completely (link at bottom of page)
    
2. Include two (2) letters of recommendation, which could either  be from someone on your high school staff, from a representative of the AGA- (scanned and emailed to alyson@bamagolf.com or mailed to the address below)
    
3. A copy of your ACT scores must be submitted - (scanned and emailed to alyson@bamagolf.com or mailed to the address below) 
4. A copy of your high school transcript must be included - (scanned and emailed to alyson@bamagolf.com or mailed to the address below)
    
5. Include a head shot photograph of yourself - (scanned and emailed to alyson@bamagolf.com or mailed to the address below)
    
6. The online application and all pertinent data, if scanned and emailed, must be submitted by March 15^th. If pertinent data is sent via U.S. mail, it must be received by March 15th at the address shown below:
