Benjamin Louis Ladner Capstone College of Nursing
Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the family of Benjamin L. Ladner

Benjamin Louis Ladner was a young man who was answering the call to be a nurse. He worked tirelessly at RMC from November 2000 until September 2005 and paid his own way through school, working towards his dream of a nursing degree from the Capstone. As a child he was curious and loved learning new things. He was a patriot and in his junior year of high school represented his school as an ambassador to the USSR. He was an athlete and participated in all sports in school. Ben loved to travel and wanted to open his eyes and mind to a world beyond home. The best part of travel for Ben – was coming home. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He also shared a love for the Baltimore Orioles with his father and brother. Ben loved people and helping others. He was full of patience and compassion and he had a gift for bringing out the best in others, even during stressful and difficult times. Ben would be humbled that a memorial was named for him and he would be proud that others will benefit. The scholarship amount is based on the availability of scholarship funds.
